Overview
Military Air Traffic control is currently supplied by the Virtual Royal Air Force, to become a Air Traffic Controller with the Virtual Royal Air Force then please visit http://www.virtualraf.co.uk/ and register by choosing "Royal Air Force Controller" as your airline. All Virtual Skies Controllers are free to control within the UK Military Division, a controller can either specifically have control of an airfield or control on all. Below are the ranking system for UK Military Division of Virtual Skies:

Although the screens and the microphones are the same as civilian controllers are way of operations is one which is significantly different and we have created a wide variety of resources for you to follow to gain an insight into world of controlling aircraft from Armed Forces such as Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. Mentoring is available from all airfields and all you need to do is request sessions from the mentoring section. Mentoring
All mentoring is to be completed on Coningsby (EGXC_XXX), all mentoring is to be booked via the Booking System. You can access the booking system by going to the Members' Menu, clicking on Booking Calendar selecting Mentoring book and by placing EGXC_XXX in the place name with your available times. Any booking placed on any other base except Coningsby will be declined, Ground Controllers will train on EGXC_GND, Tower on EGXC_TWR and Talkdown on EGXC_APP. Any controllers wishing to work on any Center e.g London Military (EGWD_CTR) will train on Scottish Control (EGQQ_CTR). For any more information on metoring please post within the Military Section on the UK Division on our forums.
Flight Information
All pilots are requested to contact the lowest controller available, whether it be Ground, Tower or Approach. This is for Traffic Information and seperation requirements and also complies with AIDU Safety Information.
For example: If Coningsby Talkdown (EGXC_P_APP) is online but no lower positions such as Tower or Ground are online, any aircraft must contact Coningsby Talkdown if they with to move within the vicinity of the airfield.
