Transatlantic Hop

Information
The transatlantic hop event consists of flights from Manchester (EGCC), Heathrow (EGLL) and Gatwick (EGKK) to Boston Logan International Airport (KBOS) situated in the historic north east of the United States of America.
Pilots can fly any eligible aircraft they feel will make the day as enjoyable and realistic as possible. Routes and SELCAL codes for pilots will be issued to the night prior to the event with current North Atlantic Tracks. Virtual Skies will also be holding 2 training nights for pilots to learn or brush up on different techniques, how to use a range of FMC’s and fuel planners.
Aircraft will start departing from 12:00z from London Heathrow and Manchester Airport, 12:10z from London Gatwick. Each aircraft will be given a departure slot 3 days prior to the event - ALL aircraft will have taken off by 15:00z.
If you would like to fly Concorde during this event, SM tracks will be issues to you instead of NAT's. Please submit you aircraft type as **CONC** on the booking form.

Training Nights
Virtual Skies UK will be holding 3 training nights for any Virtual Skies pilots participating in this event.
The first pilot training night will be held on Wednesday 19th November at 1900z until 2100z. The second pilot training night will be held on Friday 21st November at 2000z until 0000z. The third pilot training night will be held the day before the event (Saturday 22nd Novemember) at 1800z until 0000z
The training nights will cover the following:
- How to fly using an FMC
- How to program a FMC
- Oceanic Procedures
- How to plan your fuel
The traning nights will be split into 3 groups:
- Intermediate
- Advanced
- Beginner
If you would like to reserve a place at the training night, please e-mail uk-ta1@vsn.aero with the night(s) you would like to attend and the group you would like to be placed in. If you do not know if you will be able to attend, please still drop TA1 an email saying which group you would like to be in and your details will be saved so you can turn up on any of the 3 nights.
If you do not reserve a place, you can still turn up on the night - just be on teamspeak 15 minuites before the start. ALL members taking part in the training nights must be on teamspeak 5 minuites before the start of the training night (Click here for teamspeak details.
